The Azienda Trasporti Milanesi (ATM) is the municipal public transport company of Milan and 46 surrounding metropolitan municipalities. Line 1 (''Linea Uno'' in Italian) is the first underground rapid transit line built in Milan, Italy. It is part of the Milan Metro and it is operated by ATM. Works on the line began in 1957, and the first part was opened on 1 November 1964, running from Sesto Marelli to Lotto station. Veronica Gambara (29 or 30 November 1485 – 13 June 1550) was an Italian poet and politician. She was the ruler of the County of Correggio from 1518 until 1550.
