Gamal Mohamed Hassan ( so, Gamaal Maxamed Xasan, ar, جمال محمد حسن; born June 1978) Also, Jamal is the son of the well known late Chief Al-Haji Mohamed Hassan Muse and he was the founder, mayor to his last day and the first settler of that City Dhahar, in Sanaag region. Also, Jamal is a Somali politician who was the former Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia. Prior to this position, Mr. Hassan served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Kenya. Biography He was previously a senior official at the U.S diplomatic mission in Nairobi, Kenya. On 2 April 2015, Hassan was appointed as the new Ambassador of Somalia to Kenya. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed ( so, Maxaamed Cabdullaahii Maxaamed, ar, محمد عبدالله محمد; born 11 March 1962), also known as Farmaajo, is a Somali politician who served as president of Somalia from 2017 to 2022. He was prime minister of Somalia for six months, from November 2010 to June 2011. Mohamed is the founder and leader of the Tayo Party since 2012. Early life and education Mohamed was born in Mogadishu. Mohamed comes from the Marehan, a sub-clan of the Darod clan. His parents were activists affiliated with the Somali Youth League (SYL), Somalia's first political party. Dhahar
Dhahar is a town in the eastern Sanaag region, and the capital of the Dhahar District. Puntland is in effective control, but Somaliland also has territorial claims. Overview The town is disputed between Somaliland and Puntland, who has significant influence in the town. In November 2009, Puntland and Somaliland forces clashed near Dhahar. In 2016 an incident occurred between the two entities in Boodda-Cad, a remote settlement 30km west of Dhahar. According to Somaliland MP, Baar Said, the skirmishes took place away from Dhahar.
