Gallions Reach Shopping Park is a major Out-of-town shopping centres in the United Kingdom, out-of-town retail park in Beckton, east London, England. Located on Armada Way beside the River Thames, Gallions Reach is the largest retail park within London and the M25 motorway, M25, containing 34 units in an area of 324,000 square feet. History The shopping park was developed by Castlemore and completed by the end of 2003, on part of the former Beckton Gas Works. In 2006, Standard Life Aberdeen, Standard Life Investments purchased the retail park for £208 million. Services Gallions Reach provides 2,000 car parking spaces. Boots UK Limited (formerly Boots the Chemists Limited) is a British health and beauty retailer and pharmacy chain that operates in the United Kingdom. Beckton Riverside
The Docklands Light Railway extension to Thamesmead is a proposed Docklands Light Railway (DLR) extension to serve the Beckton Riverside and Thamesmead redevelopment areas of East London. Mooted in the late 2010s, the extension was first formally proposed by Transport for London (TfL) in 2019, with proposed stations at Beckton Riverside and Thamesmead. Public consultation on the project began in 2023. Estimated to cost around £1bn, the extension could open in the "early 2030s". The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is an automated medium-capacity rail system, light metro system primarily serving the redeveloped London Docklands, Docklands area of London and providing a direct connection between London's two major financial districts, Canary Wharf and the City of London.
