Gali Freitas
Paulo Domingos Gali da Costa Freitas (born 31 December 2004) is a Timorese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Liga 1 club Persebaya Surabaya and the Timor-Leste national team. Club career On 2 June 2023, Gali joined Indonesian club PSIS Semarang, taking a foreign player slot from ASEAN. He contracted for one season. On 3 July 2023, he scored a goal in his debut match against Bhayangkara at the Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang. On 12 February 2024, his contract was extended for two seasons, until 2026. International career On 1 September 2018, Gali made his debut for the senior team in a 2018 AFF Championship qualification game against Brunei in the first-leg in a 3–1 win. On 27 January 2022, Gali scored his debut goal for the senior team in a friendly match against Indonesia. The Timor-Leste national football team () represents Timor-Leste in the senior men's international football. It is organised by the East Timor Football Federation, Federação de Futebol de Timor-Leste (FFTL) which is affiliated with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the regional ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).. AFF U-16 Youth Championship
The ASEAN U-16 Boys' Championship (formerly AFF U-16 Youth Championship) is an annual international football competition contested by the national teams of the members of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and occasionally invited nations from the rest of Asia. The tournament used to be played at under-17 level, however the AFF followed the lead of the Asian Football Confederation after they renamed its U-17 competition to fall in line with FIFA's naming conventions and also to reflect the age of the players at the competition. Copa FFTL 2020
The 2020 Copa FFTL was an association football competition in men's domestic Timor football. The tournament was organised by the East Timor Football Federation and was held during 2020 in response to the Liga Futebol Amadora league system being cancelled due to COVID-19. The tournament was contested by the 20 clubs from the Primeira Divisão and Segunda Divisão. The competition featured a multistage format, with the participating teams initially being divided into four groups of five teams, each team playing each other once. After the group stage the four group winners and the four group runners-up progressed to the quarterfinals of a knockout finals series to determine the winner. 2024 ASEAN Championship Qualification
The 2024 ASEAN Championship qualification tournament was the qualification process for the 2024 ASEAN Championship, the fifteenth edition of the ASEAN Championship (previously AFF Championship). Brunei and Timor-Leste contested for a berth for the ASEAN Championship final tournament in two home-and-away matches.
