Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary design and art gallery with locations in Mexico, Geneva, New York, and Singapore. Background Galerie Philia was founded in 2015 by the Attali brothers. Philia derives from ancient Greek word and means "friendship" or "affection". The gallery organizes permanent and temporary exhibitions by national and international artists. In 2021, Galerie Philia opened an exhibition at Walker Tower in New York, designed by Pietro Franceschini. In 2022, Galerie Philia launched "Art Brut", a sculpture workshop for young children in Breil-sur-Roya. In the same year, the gallery opened the exhibition ''Jean Nouvel: Racines Aériennes'', designed by Jean Nouvel. It was the first time that a private residence designed by Jean Nouvel was used for an art and design exhibition. Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel (; born 12 August 1945) is a French architect. Nouvel studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was a founding member of ''Mars 1976'' and ''Syndicat de l'Architecture'', France’s first labor union for architects. He has obtained a number of prestigious distinctions over the course of his career, including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (for the Institut du Monde Arabe which Nouvel designed), the Wolf Prize in Arts in 2005 and the Pritzker Prize in 2008. Salone del Mobile or Milan Design Week (, but more commonly ''Salone del Mobile'') is a furniture fair held annually in Milan. It is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. Pilar Zeta is an Argentine multimedia artist, graphic designer and creative director currently based in Mexico City. She is best known for her Surrealism, surrealist style, influenced by ancient Egypt and cosmology. Richard Saturnino Owens (born November 18, 1961) is an American fashion designer from Porterville, California. In addition to his main line, Owens has a furniture line and a number of diffusion lines. Early life and education Richard Saturnino Owens was raised in Porterville, California. His parents are John (d. 2015) and Concepción "Connie" Owens. His mother is Mexican. Owens was raised in a conservative, Catholic household. After graduating Porterville High School, high school, he moved to Los Angeles, California to study art at Otis College of Art and Design for two years before taking pattern-making and draping courses at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. Breil-sur-Roya
Breil-sur-Roya (, literally ''Breil on Roya''; or simply ''Breglio''; ; ) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. Population Geography Breil-sur-Roya as its name says is located on the scenic and fast moving river Roya within the river's gorge and along the adjacent escarpments. The area features river rafting, swimming, and hiking. Breil-sur-Roya is one of the towns on the route of the SNCF Train des Merveilles which runs between Nice and Cuneo in Italy. Trains operate seven times each direction as of 2020 and can be taken from Nice (1 + 1/2 hour) for area touring. The line operated by Italy (FS, the Italian State Railroad) from Ventimiglia joints the SNCF line from Nice at Breil-sur-Roya.
