Gala Varo
Gala Varo is the stage name of Jesús Meza Arroyo (also known as Josué Armez), a Mexican drag performer who competed on season 2 of '' La Más Draga'' as part of Red Rabbit Duo, and on the first season of '' Drag Race México''. Gala Varo also competed on '' RuPaul's Drag Race Global All Stars''. Personal life Originally from Morelia, Michoacán, Armez is based in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He has a Ph.D. in biomedicine, and was a professor at the University of Guadalajara before leaving to pursue drag full-time. Outside of drag, he also has experience as a model, dancer, and acrobat. Armez' drag name, Gala Varo, is inspired by Gala Dalí and Remedios Varo. Morelia
Morelia (; from 1545 to 1828 known as Valladolid; Otomi language, Otomi: ) is a city and municipal seat of the municipalities of Mexico, municipality of Morelia in the north-central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. It is both the most populous and most densely populated municipality in Michoacán. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital and largest city of the state. Gala Dalí (born Elena Ivanovna Diakonova, Елена Ивановна Дьяконова; – 10 June 1982), usually known simply as Gala, was the wife of poet Paul Éluard and later of artist Salvador Dalí, who were both prominent in surrealism. She also inspired many other writers and artists. Early years Gala was born as Elena Ivanovna Diakonova (Russian: Елена Ивановна Дьяконова) in Kazan, Russian Empire, to a family of intellectuals. Among her childhood friends was the poet Marina Tsvetaeva. She began working as a schoolteacher in 1915, at which time she was living in Moscow.
