Gado Nasko
Muhammad Gado Nasko (born 20 June 1941) is a Nigerian statesman and retired lieutenant general who served as the military governor of Sokoto State from 1978 and 1979. He also served as Minister of Trade, Agriculture, and Water Resources from 1985 to 1989, and as Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, from 1989 to 1993. Early life and education Nasko was born on 20 June 1941 in Nasko town, in present-day Niger State. He attended Native Authority Junior Primary School, Ibeto, from 1947 to 1954, and Kontagora Senior Primary School from 1955 to 1956. He then proceeded to Provisional Secondary School (now Government College), Bida, in 1957 and graduated in 1962. Lieutenant-general (Nigeria)
Lieutenant general (Lt Gen), is the second-highest rank of the Nigerian Army and generally it is the highest active rank as the Nigerian army do not have any appointment in the rank of full general but in the case of the appointment of Chief of Defence Staff, the rank of full general is given (if the chief is appointed from the army and not from the navy or the air force). It is the equivalent of a multinational three-star rank. The rank of lieutenant general is usually held by the Chief of Army Staff. Lieutenant general is a superior rank to major general, but subordinate to a (full) general. The Royal School of Artillery (RSA) is the principal training establishment for artillery warfare in the British Army. Established in 1915, it is based at Larkhill, Wiltshire, on the south edge of the Salisbury Plain Training Area. The school is the primary training facility for Royal Artillery recruits, and is also home to the Gunnery Training Team. History The Royal School of Artillery was established in 1915 as the School of Instruction for Royal Horse and Field Artillery (Larkhill), on land previously used for tented accommodation at Larkhill. Chief Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Ogunboye Aremu Obasanjo (; ; born 5 March 1937) is a Nigerian former army general, politician and statesman who served as Nigeria's head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later as its president from 1999 to 2007.
