Gabriele Marcotti (born 28 July 1973) is an Italian sports journalist, sports author, and radio-television presenter. Born in Italy and now based in London, he was raised in the United States (Chicago and New York), Poland, Germany and Japan. Early life Marcotti briefly attended the European School, Varese in Varese, Italy. He subsequently obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, New York. Print journalism career Due to his fluency in both English and Italian, Marcotti writes for and contributes to various publications in both languages. Danny Kelly (born 23 December 1956) is a British music journalist, sports presenter, and internet publisher. He is the former editor of the music weekly ''New Musical Express'' and ''Q magazine, Q'' magazine. Early life Danny Kelly was born in Islington, London, to Irish parents and attended Our Lady of Sacred Heart in Eden Grove and then St Aloysius College, Highgate. Kelly has worked in print and radio journalism for over thirty years. He began writing for ''New Musical Express'' (''NME'') in about 1983 and was its editor from the late 1980s to 1992. The Game podcast is a free to download association football podcast produced by ''The Times'' newspaper and co-hosted during the 2018-19 season by Natalie Sawyer and Gabriele Marcotti. 2006 Serie A Scandal
''Calciopoli'' () was a sports scandal in Italy's top professional association football league Serie A, and to a lesser extent, Serie B. The scandal centered on the manipulation of referee appointments to favor certain clubs during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. It was uncovered in May 2006, when a number of telephone tappings showed relations between clubs' executives and referee organizations, being accused of selecting favourable referees. This implicated league champions Juventus and several other clubs, including Fiorentina, Lazio, AC Milan, and Reggina. In July 2006, Juventus was stripped of the 2004–05 Serie A title, which was left unassigned, and was downgraded to last place in the 2005–06 Serie A, as the title was subsequently awarded to Inter Milan, and relegated to Serie B. ''Football Focus'' is a BBC television magazine programme launched in 1974, broadcast live on BBC One on Saturday lunchtimes during the football season.
