Gabriel Morrissette
Gabriel Morrissette (born September 26, 1959) is a Canadian illustrator, animator and comic book artist from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Currently working for Jackfruit Press on their Prime Minister series and Chickadee on Daisy Dreamer, Gabriel co-created Northguard, Fleur de Lys and Angloman with Mark Shainblum. Gabriel has worked for several comic book publishers, including DC Comics and Marvel Comics, and has illustrated such characters as Spider-Man 2099, Doc Savage, Ragman and Checkmate. His animation work includes Savage Dragon and credit as a storyboard artist on a number of episodes of ''The Boy for Cactus''. Val-d’Or
Val-d'Or ( , , ; meaning "Golden Valley" or "Valley of Gold") is a city in Quebec, Canada with a population of 32,752 inhabitants according to the 2021 Canadian census. The city is located in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region near La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve. The Algonquin toponym of the town is ''Ozawaconia Odena''. History Gold was discovered in the area in 1923. The name of the town is French for "Valley of Gold." While gold is still mined in the area today, base metals, such as copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and lead (Pb) have become increasingly important resources. The ore is usually found in volcanic rocks that were deposited on the sea floor over 2.7 billion years ago. They are referred to as volcanic-hosted (or volcanogenic) massive sulphide deposits ( VMS). Doc Savage
Doc Savage is a fictional character of the competent man hero type, who first appeared in American pulp magazines during the 1930s and 1940s. Real name Clark Savage Jr., he is a polymathic scientist, explorer, detective, and warrior who "rights wrongs and punishes evildoers." He was created by publisher Henry W. Ralston and editor John L. Nanovic at Street & Smith Publications, with additional material contributed by the series' main writer, Lester Dent. Doc Savage stories were published under the Kenneth Robeson name. The illustrations were by Walter Baumhofer, Paul Orban, Emery Clarke, Modest Stein, and Robert G. Harris. The Savage Dragon is the name of two superheroes created by Erik Larsen, published by Image Comics and taking place in the Image Universe. The comic initially follows the adventures of a superheroic police officer named the Dragon. The character first appeared as the Dragon in ''Graphic Fantasy'' #1 (June 1982) and first appeared as the "Savage Dragon" in ''Megaton'' #3 (February 1986), before starring as the protagonist of the ongoing comic book series ''The Savage Dragon''.
