Gabriel Moiceanu
Gabriel Moiceanu (born 12 August 1934) is a retired Romanian cyclist. He competed in the road race at the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics; he was 57th in 1964 and failed to finish in 1960. In 1964, he also finished sixth in the 100 km team time trial. He rode the Peace Race in 1956, 1958, 1959, 1961, 1962 and 1964 and won one stage in 1959 and 1964. In 1958 he won the Tour of Romania, and in 1968 was second in the Tour du Maroc Tour du Maroc is the most important road bicycle race in the African state of Morocco. Câmpulung
Câmpulung (also spelled ''Cîmpulung'', , german: Langenau, Old Romanian ''Dlăgopole'', ''Длъгополе'' (from Middle Bulgarian)), or ''Câmpulung Muscel'', is a municipality in the Argeș County, Muntenia, Romania. It is situated among the outlying hills of the Carpathian mountains, at the head of a long well-wooded glen traversed by the Râul Târgului, a tributary of the Argeș. Its pure air and fine scenery render Câmpulung a popular summer resort. The 1960 Summer Olympics ( it, Giochi Olimpici estivi del 1960), officially known as the Games of the XVII Olympiad ( it, Giochi della XVII Olimpiade) and commonly known as Rome 1960 ( it, Roma 1960), were an international multi-sport event held from 25 August to 11 September 1960 in Rome, Italy. The , officially the and commonly known as Tokyo 1964 ( ja, 東京1964), were an international multi-sport event held from 10 to 24 October 1964 in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo had been awarded the organization of the 1940 Summer Olympics, but this honor was subsequently passed to Helsinki due to Japan's invasion of China, before ultimately being cancelled due to World War II. The Peace Race (german: Friedensfahrt, cs, Závod míru, sk, Preteky mieru, russian: Велогонка Мира (), pl, Wyścig Pokoju , french: Course de la Paix, it, Corsa della Pace, ro, Cursa Păcii) was an annual multiple stage bicycle race held in the Eastern Bloc states of Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and Poland. First organized in 1948, it was originally created with the intent of relieving tensions existing between Central European countries following the interwar period and World War II. Maintained by the three states ruling Communist parties' newspapers ('' Rudé právo'', ''Neues Deutschland'', and '' Trybuna Ludu''), it was dubbed to be the "world's biggest amateur cycling race"Dubiański (2001), p. 50 and "Tour de France of the East".
