Gabriel Felbermayr
Gabriel Felbermayr (born 1976) is an Austrian economist who has been serving as president of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) since 2021. He specializes in international economics, international trade agreements, economic policy, and environmental economics. Considered a leading economist in the field of international economics, he is cited in the top 5% of all economists and has been referred to as "Germany's Chief Economist of the North" ("Deutschlands neuer Chefökonom des Nordens"). Early in his career, Felbermayr was a professor of economics at the University of Munich (LMU) and Director of the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, which is based in Munich. Steyr (; ) is a statutory city (Austria), statutory city, located in the Austrian federal state of Upper Austria. It is the administrative capital, though not part of Steyr-Land District. Schlierbach is a municipality in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems (district), Kirchdorf an der Krems in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Schlierbach is located 40 km in the south of Linz, the main city of Upper Austria. Sightseeings Schlierbach Abbey The Schlierbach Abbey is a climax of the Austrian baroque architecture. It was founded in the 14th century as a convent. In the 17th century it was re-founded as a Cistercian monastery. Between 1680-1712 the buildings were renovated in the Baroque style following plans by Pietro Francesco Carlone that were executed by his sons. The Abbey Church was built from 1680 to 1682 in baroque style with sculptures, plaster-work and frescoes by members of the Italian art family Carlone. Claudia Maria Buch (also Claudia-Maria Buch; born March 1966) is a German economist who serves as Chair of the ECB Supervisory Board since 2024. She was a Vice President of the Bundesbank from 2014 to 2023. Earlier in her career, Buch worked as professor at the University of Tübingen and was a member of the German Council of Economic Experts. She worked as scientific director at the Institut für Angewandte Wirtschaftsforschung (Institute of Applied Economic Studies) in Tübingen and as chairperson of the economic council at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
