Gaborone (Botswana Constituency)
Gaborone was the constituency that represented the city of Gaborone in the National Assembly of Botswana from 1974 to 1984, following its separation from Gaborone/Ramotswa in 1972 and until its division in 1984 into two constituencies, Gaborone North and Gaborone South. It was represented by an Member of Parliament (Botswana), MP in the National Assembly of Botswana, elected by first-past-the-post voting system. Peter Simako Otlaadisang Mmusi (born 16 May 1929, died October 1994) was the Vice-President of Botswana from 3 January 1983 until 1992. He also served as the Minister of Finance from 1980 to 1989, and as the Minister of Local Government and Lands. He was born in Mmankgodi in the Kweneng District.
