Gabe Guentzel
Gabriel John "Gabe" Guentzel (born May 2, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey player. He holds dual citizenship in the United States and Germany. Guentzel is currently an unrestricted free agent who most recently played under contract with German DEL outfit Augsburger Panther. Playing career A defenseman, Guentzel graduated from Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood, Minnesota in 2006. He played in the North American Hockey League and the United States Hockey League before embarking on a four-year NCAA career at Colorado College. As a freshman (2008–09), he saw the ice in 36 games, scoring three goals while assisting on 13 others (16 points) and was presented with the Bob Johnson Award as the Tigers' freshman of the Year. Woodbury is a city in Washington County, Minnesota, United States, eight miles (13 km) east of Saint Paul along Interstate 94. It is part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. Twenty-six AHL teams are located in the United States and the remaining six are in Canada. The league offices are located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and its current president is Scott Howson. 2020 NHL All-Star Game
The 2020 National Hockey League All-Star Game was held on January 25, 2020, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, the home of the St. Louis Blues. The city previously hosted the NHL All-Star Game in 1970 and 1988 at the former St. Louis Arena. Stanley Cup
The Stanley Cup (french: La Coupe Stanley) is the championship trophy awarded annually to the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff champion. It is the oldest existing trophy to be awarded to a professional sports franchise in North America, and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) considers it to be one of the "most important championships available to the sport". Jake Guentzel (born October 6, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey left wing for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Penguins in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Guentzel won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2017. Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Ice Hockey
The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team at the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota. They are members of the Big Ten Conference and compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I ice hockey. The Golden Gophers have won five NCAA national championships, in 1974, 1976, 1979, 2002 and 2003. Mike Guentzel
Mike Guentzel (born August 23, 1962) is an American ice hockey coach and former defenceman. He currently works as a pro scout for the Arizona Coyotes. Career Guentzel played four years at Minnesota before embarking on a short professional career. After hanging up his skates in 1986 he turned to coaching and joined the staff of the St. Paul Vulcans of the USHL. After a year as an assistant he was named head coach, serving in that capacity for four campaigns before accepting the same position with the Omaha Lancers. In 1994 he returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach, serving under first Doug Woog and then Don Lucia after the former retired in 1999.
