Gateway Television (GTV) is a Pan-Africanism, Pan-African, American-owned subscription TV network based in London, owned by Gateway Communications. The British-based company Gateway Television is owned by the American company, The Blackstone Group. GTV held the rights to 80% of league matches for the Premier League. They also held the rights for the CECAFA Cup in 2007, in an agreement that was scheduled to last for four years. Global Tamil Vision (GTV) is a Tamil language digital satellite television channel. Its main audience are Sri Lankan Tamils living in Europe, Australia and the Middle East. Tharisanam TV Australia was launched in January 2007 after the closure of Sigaram TV Australia in September 2006 due to Sigaram's bankruptcy. GTV is a commercial television station in Melbourne, Australia, owned by the Nine Network. The station is currently based at studios at 717 Bourke Street, Docklands, Victoria, Docklands. GTV-9 is the home of the Australian Open tennis coverage. History GTV-9 was amongst the first television stations to begin regular transmission in Australia.
