GTR (album)
''GTR'' is the only album from the short-lived supergroup GTR, released in April 1986. The album peaked at No. 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, and the single "When the Heart Rules the Mind" reached No. 14 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart. Another single, "The Hunter", peaked at No. 85. In the UK, the album was released on 7 July 1986, where it reached No. 41 on the album charts. An instrumental piece recorded by GTR guitarist Steve Howe years before, "Sketches in the Sun", was included on the album due to a shortage of content. It resurfaced on his solo album ''Motif Volume 1'' and again on his ''Anthology'' album. Steve Hackett's "Hackett to Bits" was a simplified version of the title track from his '' Please Don't Touch'' album. (It has no connection with the similarly titled "Hackett to Pieces" from '' Highly Strung''.) Asia recorded their own version of the Geoff Downes-penned "The Hunter" for their 1997 compilation album ''Anthology''. The group, founded by ...

GTR (band)
GTR were a British supergroup rock band founded in 1985 by former Yes and Asia guitarist Steve Howe and former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. Though the band's leaders were known as progressive rock musicians, GTR appealed to AOR radio stations. The band lasted for two years and one album. Hackett subsequently criticized the project, though not necessarily the other musicians involved in it. The band's name came from an abbreviation of "guitar" used by recording studios for labelling guitar tracks. History After Steve Howe left Asia in 1984, he and former Yes manager Brian Lane discussed forming a new group, and Lane approached former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. Hackett's last few solo albums had sold disappointingly, and he hoped GTR would sustain his prominence as a guitarist and finance future solo work."Turni ...

GTR – FIA GT Racing Game
''GTR – FIA GT Racing Game'' is a sports car racing simulator developed by SimBin Studios AB (later Sector3 Studios and KW Studios) and published by 10tacle Publishing for the x86 PC in 2005. Simbin has also released an "add-on pack" called "Kings of Ovals" which contains a set of new oval-style tracks. The game uses the engine that was used for '' Sports Car GT'' (1999). A sequel, ''GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game'', was released in 2006. Reception GameSpot said: "Despite its blemishes, ''GTR'' is the breath of fresh air this genre so badly needed". They awarded the game a score of 8.8 (Great). IGN.com also praised the game and gave a score of 8.5 (Great). ''GTR'' won ''PC Gamer US''s "Best Racing Game 2005" award. The magazine's Andy Mahood wrote: "With its licensed field of exotic sports and GT machines, exquisitely rendered European circuits, and outstanding vehicle physics, ''GTR'' advanced the technology of racing simulations to hitherto unseen levels". It was also a runn ...

Guided Tissue Regeneration
Guided bone regeneration (GBR) and guided tissue regeneration (GTR) are dental surgical procedures that use barrier membranes to direct the growth of new bone and gingival tissue at sites with insufficient volumes or dimensions of bone or gingiva for proper function, esthetics or prosthetic restoration. Guided bone regeneration typically refers to ridge augmentation or bone regenerative procedures; guided tissue regeneration typically refers to regeneration of periodontal attachment. Guided bone regeneration is similar to guided tissue regeneration, but is focused on development of hard tissues in addition to the soft tissues of the periodontal attachment. At present, guided bone regeneration is predominantly applied in the oral cavity to support new hard tissue growth on an alveolar ridge to allow stable placement of dental implants. When bone grafting is used in conjunction with sound surgical technique, guided bone regeneration is a reliable and validated procedure. Histor ...

Generalised Time Reversible
In biology, a substitution model, also called models of sequence evolution, are Markov models that describe changes over evolutionary time. These models describe evolutionary changes in macromolecules, such as DNA sequences or protein sequences, that can be represented as sequence of symbols (e.g., A, C, G, and T in the case of DNA or the 20 "standard" proteinogenic amino acids in the case of proteins). Substitution models are used to calculate the likelihood of phylogenetic trees using multiple sequence alignment data. Thus, substitution models are central to maximum likelihood estimation of phylogeny as well as Bayesian inference in phylogeny. Estimates of evolutionary distances (numbers of substitutions that have occurred since a pair of sequences diverged from a common ancestor) are typically calculated using substitution models (evolutionary distances are used as input for distance methods such as neighbor joining). Substitution models are also central to phylogenetic invarian ...

General Relativity
General relativity, also known as the general theory of relativity, and as Einstein's theory of gravity, is the differential geometry, geometric theory of gravitation published by Albert Einstein in 1915 and is the current description of gravitation in modern physics. General theory of relativity, relativity generalizes special relativity and refines Newton's law of universal gravitation, providing a unified description of gravity as a geometric property of space and time in physics, time, or four-dimensional spacetime. In particular, the ''curvature of spacetime'' is directly related to the energy and momentum of whatever is present, including matter and radiation. The relation is specified by the Einstein field equations, a system of second-order partial differential equations. Newton's law of universal gravitation, which describes gravity in classical mechanics, can be seen as a prediction of general relativity for the almost flat spacetime geometry around stationary mass ...

Ford Mustang GT-R
Ford Mustang variants are the various versions of the Ford Mustang car, modified either by its manufacturer Ford Motor Company or by third-party companies. Ford and several third-party companies have offered many modified versions of the highly popular Mustang since its creation in 1964 in order to cater to specific portions of the marketplace outside of the mainstream. High-performance enthusiasts seek more powerful, sharper handling, sports cars such as the Shelby Mustang, the Ford Mustang Mach 1, and variants made by Roush Performance and Saleen, while collectors and purists seek limited production and alternate or nostalgic styling, such as is commonly found on many commemorative editions. Still, others were made purely for experimental concepts such as the McLaren M81 and the Ford Mustang SVO, which later influenced production model design. Most variants include both performance upgrades, and unique cosmetic treatments that are typically minimal to maintain the familiar appear ...

Ultima GTR
The Ultima GTR is a supercar manufactured by Ultima Sports Ltd of Hinckley, Leicestershire, England. The car was available both in kit form and as a "turnkey" (i.e. assembled by the factory) vehicle until early 2015, when it was replaced by the Ultima Evolution. The design is mid engined, rear wheel drive layout, with a tubular steel space frame chassis and GRP bodywork. A convertible version called the Ultima Can-Am was also produced. Kit builders were free to source and fit a variety of engines and transmissions but the Chevrolet small block V8 supplied by American Speed mated to either a Porsche or Getrag transaxle was the factory recommended standard, and this configuration was fitted to all turnkey cars. Performance Ultima focused their marketing efforts on record-breaking activities using a model equipped with a American Speed engine, called the Ultima GTR640, and subsequently, a at 6700 rpm and a maximum torque of at 4400 rpm Chevy V8 engine called the GTR 720. ...
