GR Racing
GR Racing, formerly known as Gulf Racing, is a British auto racing team founded in 2011 by businessman and amateur driver Michael Wainwright (racing driver), Mike Wainwright. The team is based in Milton Keynes, England and has featured in various endurance racing (motorsport), endurance racing events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC). History GR Racing was founded in 2011 with the aim to merge competitive racing with the iconic Gulf Oil livery, representing motorsports excellence since the 1960s. The team debuted in the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship competing in the GTE Am category with a Porsche 911 RSR. The debut season provided valuable experience and a competitive edge. Over subsequent years, Gulf Racing achieved podium finishes in the FIA WEC, led by Ben Barker (racing driver), Ben Barker. Tom Gamble (born 7 November 2001) is a British racing driver who currently races for Aston Martin THOR Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The Porsche 911 RSR-19 is a racing car developed by Porsche to compete in the LM GTE category of the FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series, and the GTLM category of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. It serves as the direct replacement for the Porsche 911 RSR (2017). The car made its racing debut at the 2019 4 Hours of Silverstone. Andrew Robert Watson (born 21 January 1995) is a British racing driver from Northern Ireland currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing UK. Throughout his career Watson has competed in sports car racing and endurance racing, until his switch to touring car racing in 2023. He is a former Aston Martin Racing junior. Thomas Preining (born 21 July 1998) is an Austrian racing driver, currently competing in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, where he is the 2023 champion. He also won the 2018 German Porsche Carrera Cup championship. Career Formula 4 Preining's first season in single seaters was in 2015 with German team ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg where he competed at the first two rounds in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship where he got a podium in only his third race at this level at Oschersleben. Preining finished the season with 16 points.
