GKS Bełchatów
GKS Bełchatów is a Polish professional football club based in Bełchatów. The club currently competes in group I of the III liga. History GKS Bełchatów entered Poland's Klasa A in 1977 under the name of Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów, and gained promotion to the III liga in the 1981–82 season. It took the club another seven years to rise to the II liga (1986/1987 season), before winning a place in the top-tier I liga in 1992. After another spell in II liga, the club again won promotion to the I liga at the end of the 2004–05 season. The club finished the 2005–06 season in 10th place, with 37 points. The following season they challenged for the league title. After spending much of the latter part of the 2006–07 season in first place, they were ultimately overtaken by Zagłębie Lubin and had to settle for second place. GIEKSA Arena is a multi-purpose stadium in Bełchatów, Poland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of GKS Bełchatów. The stadium has a capacity of 5,264 people. Polish Super Cup
The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2024, the Polish Super Cup has been played 34 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant has been Legia Warsaw, as they have played sixteen final games and lost their eight following finals between 2012 and 2021. Unlike the Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time, the match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out. Mateusz Szymorek (born 4 November 1993) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defender for III liga club GKS Bełchatów. Playing career Szymorek made his way up the ranks of his hometown team, GKS Bełchatów. He was called up to the reserve side from the U19 team in July 2011. After two season, he signed a two-year contract with the first team, which was playing in the second tier I liga. He made his debut on 4 August 2013, when Bełchatów played Brzesko to a 1-1 draw. He came in as a 74' substitute for Łukasz Wroński. They finished as league champions for the 2013–14 season, and were promoted to Ekstraklasa for the following season. FC Ameri Tbilisi was a Georgian football club based in the district of Gldani in Tbilisi. The club was founded in 2002 and was dissolved in 2009 after financial troubles.
