Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) was established under the ''Gujarat Industrial Development Act of 1962'', with a goal of accelerating industrialization in the state of Gujarat, India. History Main role of the GIDC is to identify locations suitable for industrial development and create industrial estates with infrastructure such as roads, drainage, electricity, water supply, street lights, and ready-to-occupy factory sheds. The infrastructure of certain estates has been built for specific industries; there is an electronics estate at Gandhinagar, ceramics and manufacturing estates in Bhavnagar, chemical estates at Vapi, Ankleshwar, Panoli, Nandesari, Naroda. Some GIDC estates also have low-cost housing for workers and executives of tenant businesses, and many of the larger estates include amenities and commercial facilities such as banks, shopping complexes, schools, dispensaries, telecommunications centers, police stations, and community halls. Gender Identity Disorder In Children
Gender dysphoria (GD) in children, also known as gender incongruence (GI) of childhood, is a formal diagnosis for distress (gender dysphoria) caused by incongruence between assigned sex and gender identity in some pre-pubescent transgender and gender diverse children. The diagnosis ''Gender dysphoria in children'' is defined in the 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), and ''Gender incongruence of childhood'' is defined in the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases but considered a physical rather than psychiatric condition. The diagnoses replaced gender identity disorder in children, which had been present in the DSM since 1980 and ICD since 1990 but were considered stigmatizing towards transgender people. The diagnoses were kept to insure insurance coverage for gender-affirming healthcare.
