Gan–Gross–Prasad Conjecture
In mathematics, the Gan–Gross–Prasad conjecture is a restriction problem in the representation theory of real or Lie groups posed by Gan Wee Teck, Benedict Gross, and Dipendra Prasad. The problem originated from a conjecture of Gross and Prasad for special orthogonal groups but was later generalized to include all four classical groups. In the cases considered, it is known that the multiplicity of the restrictions is at most one and the conjecture describes when the multiplicity is precisely one. Motivation A motivating example is the following classical branching problem in the theory of compact Lie groups. Let \pi be an irreducible finite-dimensional representation of the compact unitary group U(n), and consider its restriction to the naturally embedded subgroup U(n-1). It is known that this restriction is multiplicity-free, but one may ask precisely which irreducible representations of U(n-1) occur in the restriction. By the Cartan–Weyl theory of highest weig ...

Gateway-to-Gateway Protocol
The Gateway-to-Gateway Protocol (GGP) is an obsolete protocol defined for routing datagrams between Internet gateways. It was first outlined in 1982. The Gateway-to-Gateway Protocol was designed as an Internet Protocol (IP) datagram service similar to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). However, it is classified as an Internet Layer protocol., ''Transport Protocols For Department of Defense Data Networks'', National Research Council, (February 1985), p.17 GGP uses a ''minimum hop'' algorithm, in which it measures distance in router hops. A router is defined to be zero hops from directly connected networks, one hop from networks that are reachable through one other gateway. The protocol implements a distributed shortest-path methodology, and therefore requires global convergence of the routing tables after any change of link connectivity in the network. Each GGP message has a field header that identifies the message type and the format of ...

General Game Playing
General game playing (GGP) is the design of artificial intelligence programs to be able to play more than one game successfully. For many games like chess, computers are programmed to play these games using a specially designed algorithm, which cannot be transferred to another context. For instance, a chess-playing computer program cannot play checkers. General game playing is considered as a necessary milestone on the way to artificial general intelligence. General video game playing (GVGP) is the concept of GGP adjusted to the purpose of playing video games. For video games, game rules have to be either learnt over multiple iterations by artificial players like TD-Gammon, or are predefined manually in a domain-specific language and sent in advance to artificial players like in traditional GGP. Starting in 2013, significant progress was made following the deep reinforcement learning approach, including the development of programs that can learn to play Atari 2600 games as w ...

Located in the Pacific Ocean off the northeast coast of the Asia, Asian mainland, it is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan and extends from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea .... The programme has collected at least one wave of surveys in more than 19 countries, with an average of 9,000 respondents per country. The importance of the GGS data is documented by its uptake in the research community, generating over 1,200 peer-reviewed publications. It was launched by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, as a successor to its previous Fertility and Family Survey in the 1990s. The participating countries are Aust ...

Georgia Green Party
The Georgia Green Party (GGP) is a registered political body in the American state of Georgia. The party is not an affiliate of the Green Party US organization. The GGP has also been barred access from ballots multiple times, causing them to consider lawsuits. In 2016, the Green Party of the United States advocated to have the GGP be registered by the Georgia General Assembly, though this was countered by the primarily Republican majority in the legislature. The GGP was disaffiliated from the national Green Party federation in 2021, due to the GGP adopting positions which were judged in opposition to the national party's stances in favor of transgender rights. Transphobia controversy and disaffiliation On July 26, 2021, the Georgia Green Party was removed from the federation of the Green Party US by the National Committee of the Green Party US for passing amendments in the state Party manifesto that the Green Party US's Accreditation Committee said violated the Green Party ...

Prior to this name change, the organization was known briefly as the Orange County Actors’ Theater – Garden Grove, but the general membership did not accept this name and at the annual meeting in January 1995, the Garden Grove Playhouse (GGP) name was suggested and accepted. GGP was founded in 1974 – the same year the nearby Westminster Community Theatre began construction on its permanent home. GGP’s first production, Desk Set, opened in June 1974 and was presented at Rancho Alamitos High School.
