"G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)", also known as "G.I. D'oh", is the fifth episode of the eighteenth season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons''. It first aired on the Fox network in the United States on November 12, 2006. It was written by Daniel Chun and directed by Nancy Kruse, while Kiefer Sutherland makes his first of two guest appearances this season. Maurice LaMarche does additional voices. In its original run, the episode received 11.43 million viewers. The episode is a critique of the U.S. military-industrial complex. Plot At the Springfield Mall, Bart and Milhouse torment the bullies as they work in a shoe store. Nancy Kruse
Nancy Kruse is a former animation director on ''The Simpsons''. She started working on the show during the first season as a background clean-up artist. After that she did background layout and character layout for several years on the show before becoming an assistant director. She began directing during The Simpsons (season 10), season 10 and left the show at the end of season 21 with the season 22 holdover MoneyBART. She was also a story artist on the movie ''Zootopia'' and one of the head of story for 2021 Oscar winning movie ''Encanto''. The Delayed Entry Program (DEP, also called the Delayed Enlistment Program or Future Soldiers Program in the United States), is a program designed to accommodate new enlistees into the United States Armed Forces before they ship out to basic training.
