Fábio Duca Gurgel do Amaral (born 18 January 1970 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a former Mixed martial arts fighter and Brazilian_jiu-jitsu_ranking_system#Red_/_Black_belt_(Coral_belt), 7th degree coral belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and coach. One of the best jiu-jitsu competitors of his generation, Gurgel is a 4-time World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, World Jiu-Jitsu Champion (1996–2001), Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Brazilian National champion and IBJJF European Open , European Open champion. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ranking system signifies a practitioner's increasing level of technical knowledge and practical skill within the art. Colored belts worn as part of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu gi, uniform are awarded to the practitioner. Rolls Gracie (; 1951–1982) was a Brazilian martial artist. He was a prominent member of the Gracie family known for their founding of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and considered by some the family's best ever fighter.
