''Future Rhythm'' is the fourth album by the American rap group Digital Underground, released in 1996. It was their first independent release. Two songs from the album were included on the soundtrack to the Wayans brother's film ''Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood'': "Food Fight", which showcases Humpty Hump and Del the Funky Homosapien trading verses, and "We Got More", with the Luniz. The album peaked at No. 113 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Critical reception The ''Los Angeles Times'' wrote that the album "sports a nice, laid-back take on George Clinton's elaborately semi-chaotic P-Funk production approach." Gregory Edward Jacobs (August 25, 1963 – April 22, 2021), known professionally as Shock G and by his alter ego Humpty Hump, was an American rapper and musician who was best known as the lead vocalist of the hip hop group Digital Underground. He was responsible for Digital Underground's " The Humpty Dance", 2Pac's breakthrough single "I Get Around", and co-producer of 2Pac's debut album ''2Pacalypse Now''. Early life Gregory Edward Jacobs was born on August 25, 1963 in New York City. He spent most of his childhood moving around the East Coast with his family, eventually settling in Tampa, Florida. Reggie Gibson (born August 23, 1970), better known as Saafir, is an emcee, producer and actor from Oakland, California. He is also a member of the rap group "Golden State Project" (formerly known as Golden State Warriors) with Ras Kass and Xzibit. Born in Oakland, California, he lived with Tupac Shakur and became a dancer for Digital Underground. Saafir took part in one of the most notorious Bay Area rap battles, when he and members of the Hobo Junction went against Casual and members of the Hieroglyphics Crew. ''Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood'' (or simply ''Don't Be a Menace'') is a 1996 American black comedy film directed by Paris Barclay in his feature film directorial debut, and produced by Keenen Ivory Wayans. It stars the brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans, who were also both writers with Phil Beauman. The film was released in the United States on January 12, 1996. Digital Underground
Digital Underground was an American alternative hip hop group from Oakland, California. Their personnel changed and rotated with each album and tour. Digital Underground's leader and mainstay was Gregory "Shock G" Jacobs (also known as Humpty Hump). Shock G formed the group in 1987 with Jimi "Chopmaster J" Dright of Berkeley, California, and Tampa hip-hop radio deejay Kenneth "Kenny-K" Waters. Heavily influenced by the various funk bands of the 1970s, Digital Underground sampled such music frequently, which became a defining element of West Coast rap.
