Futian
Futian District () is one of the nine districts comprising the city of Shenzhen, China. The district is home to the government and Municipal Committee of Shenzhen, as well as one of the city's central business district (CBD). Name There are two theories concerning the origin of the district's name: * From an inscription dating to the Song dynasty (960–1297) which reads: "Lakes and mountains are blessed with fertile farmlands" (). * Written records showing that people from Shangsha Village built houses in Songziling in 1192; their farmlands were cultivated in lattice shapes, which in Chinese is a homophone for "Futian" meaning "blessed fields". Shenzhen
Shenzhen is a prefecture-level city in the province of Guangdong, China. Ping An Finance Center
The Ping An Finance Center () is a 115-storey, supertall skyscraper in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It was completed in 2017, and is the tallest building in Shenzhen, the 2nd tallest building in China and the 5th tallest building in the world. The building contains office, hotel and retail spaces, a conference center, and a high-end shopping mall. Observation deck The observation deck is named Free Sky and located on floor 116, which broke the record of having the highest observation deck in a building at . Shennan Road
Shennan Road () is a major east-west thoroughfare of Shenzhen, China. Location Spanning all over Luohu District, Luohu, Futian District, Futian and Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Nanshan Districts, the road measures in length. It is divided into three sections, namely Shennan Boulevard (), Shennan Middle Road () and Shennan East Road (). The sections defined as the portions of Nantou Subdistrict, Nantou Checkpoint to Huanggang Road, Huanggang Road to Hongling Road and Hongling to Yanhe Road respectively. China Merchants Bank Tower
China Merchants Bank Tower (), or the Shenzhen World Trade Centre a 53-story skyscraper in Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China was designed by American architecture firm Lee / Timchula of New York City. Lee / Timchula was the continuation of the Edward Larrabee Barnes, John MY Lee Architecture firm after Barnes retired in 1993. Completed in 2001. The 53 story high tower is defined by three zones-the podium, the tapering tower shaft, and the crown. The podium is a simple, 5-story rectangular volume with clear glass and 2 tones of gray granite detailed in sleek flush planes. The podium contains a full height atrium and a grand banking hall. Civic Center (Shenzhen)
Civic Center or Citizens' Center () is a government building in Shenzhen, China. It is located within the Futian Central Business District and was constructed at a cost of CNY 2.172 billion. The civic building was the centerpiece plan for the Shenzhen Futian Central District Master Plan and is "attentive to traditional asian themes and traditions". The overall city plan is based on a central axis, which stretched 2km from Lianhua Mountain in the north, through the Civic Center, and to the Exhibition Center in the south. The land area of the master plan is roughly 100 city blocks and the projected total floor space of the plan is "5 times the size of the original World Trade Center Towers". Luohu District
Luohu District is a district of Shenzhen, China, located north of the New Territories of Hong Kong, east of Futian District, southeast of Longgang District, southwest of Pingshan District, and west of Yantian District. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, having represented Shenzhen as a fishing village before 1953 and a market town from 1953 to 1979, when Bao'an County was promoted to a prefecture-level city and renamed Shenzhen.
