Futagashira
is a Japanese slice of life historical series written and illustrated by Natsume Ono. It was published in Shogakukan's ''seinen'' manga magazine ''Monthly Ikki'' from May 2011 to September 2014, when the magazine ceased publication. It was then serialization in ''Hibana'' from March 2015 to September 2016. Its chapters were published by Shogakukan in seven ''tankōbon'' volumes. A five-episode television drama adaptation was broadcast from June to July 2015. A five-episode second season was broadcast from September to October 2016. Natsume Ono
is a Japanese manga artist. In addition to her mainstream manga work, Ono publishes boys' love (male-male romance) comics under the pen name basso. Career Ono began creating (self-published manga) after graduating from high school. In 2001, she completed a ten-month study abroad program in Italy, studying the Italian language. In 2003, upon her return to Japan, she began to create the webcomic series ''La Quinta Camera''. It was subsequently serialized in the magazine ''Comic Seed!'' and later published as a single volume by Shogakukan under their Ikki Comix imprint. Many of Ono's works have been published in English by Viz Media since 2010, including ''La Quinta Camera'', '' Not Simple'', '' House of Five Leaves'', ''Ristorante Paradiso'', the prequel series ''Gente: The People of Ristorante Paradiso'', and the short story collection ''Tesoro''. Taichi Saotome
, also known as , is a Japanese actor and singer. He played young men and onnagata roles of women. Biography His father is the head of the theatre troupe ''Gekidan Sujaku''. Saotome performed in '' taishū engeki''. A "female impersonator", he has performed onstage. In ''Zatoichi'', he played the child disguising himself as a geisha ( Daigoro Tachibana). Monthly Ikki
was a monthly manga magazine published by Shogakukan. It tended to specialize in Underground comix, underground or alternative manga, but it had its share of major hits as well. The magazine started in 2000 as a spin-off (media), spin-off to Shogakukan's ''Big Comic Spirits, Weekly Big Comic Spirits'', titled ''Spirits Zōkan Ikki'', published on a bimonthly basis, and became a standalone monthly magazine in 2003. In 2009, Viz Media launched an online English version of ''Monthly Ikki'', named ''SigIkki'', which serialized selected titles from the magazine.
