Fusion (video Game)
''Fusion'' is a scrolling multidirectional shooter developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1988 for the Atari ST and Amiga. Gameplay It is a scrolling multidirectional shooter with parallax scrolling. The action is viewed from the top. The player controls either a ground-based crawler or a spacecraft. There are thirteen levels. Development ''Fusion'' was created by Bullfrog Productions, a development studio founded by game designer Peter Molyneux. It was the company's first original product and second game overall, after a port of the shoot 'em up '' Druid II: Enlightenment''. As with ''Druid II'' and the later '' Populous'', artist Glenn Corpes created most of the graphics and animation for ''Fusion'', while Molyneux handled the majority of its programming and design. Bullfrog Productions Limited was a British video game developer based in Guildford, England. Founded in 1987 by Peter Molyneux and Les Edgar, the company gained recognition in 1989 for their third release, ''Populous (video game), Populous'', and is also well known for titles such as ''Theme Park (video game), Theme Park'', ''Theme Hospital'', ''Magic Carpet (video game), Magic Carpet'', ''Syndicate (1993 video game), Syndicate'' and ''Dungeon Keeper''. Bullfrog's name was derived from an ornament in the offices of Edgar's and Molyneux's other enterprise, Taurus Impact Systems, Bullfrog's precursor where Molyneux and Edgar were developing business software. ''Zzap!64'' is a computer games magazine covering games for computers manufactured by Commodore International, especially the Commodore 64 (C64). It was published in the UK by Newsfield Publications Ltd and later by Europress Impact. The magazine launched in April, with the cover date May 1985, as the sister magazine to '' CRASH''. It focused on the C64 for much of its shelf life, but later incorporated Amiga game news and reviews. Like ''CRASH'' for the ZX Spectrum, it had a dedicated cult following amongst C64 owners and was well known for its irreverent sense of humour as well as its extensive, detailed coverage of the C64 scene.
