Funoon al Jazeera (in Arabic فنون الجزيرة) is an Arab music production company that has signed a number of Arab artists. It was established in 1980 by artist Talal Maddah and ownership was later transferred to artist Rashed Al-Majed. Talal Maddah
Talal Maddah (5 August 1940 – 11 August 2000; ) was a Saudis, Saudi Arabian musician and composer . He was named Maddah after his mother's family and was commonly nicknamed as "The Earth's Voice" (). He had a substantial influence over 20th century-Arabian culture. Maddah began his career emulating Hijazi singers such as Hassan Jawa and Mohammed Ali Sindi. During his career, he participated in many festivals in Saudi Arabia between 1960 and 2000. He also participated in many festivals in the Arabian Peninsula, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Professional career Early career Maddah was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Rashed Al-Majed (; born 27 July 1969) is a Saudi singer, actor, musician, and record producer. He has been active since 1984. Rashed Al-Majed is one of the most famous singers in the Middle East and has released almost 40 records. His songs often have emotional and romantic themes. He has worked with the Saudi national operetta in Jenadriyah and has recorded with them more than eight times. He has performed numerous concerts in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, France, and the United Kingdom. Mohammed Abdu
Mohammed Abdu (; born June 12, 1949) is a Saudi singer. He has been described as the "Artist of the Arabs". Early years Mohammed Abdu was born on June 12, 1949 in Al Shuqaiq, Jazan. His father, Abdu Othman Al-A'asiri, was a poor fisherman in Tihamah who had six children with his wife, Salma Nasr-Allah.
