Fullerton Cove
Fullerton Cove is a rural suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, located just north of Fern Bay and adjacent to Fullerton Cove, from which the suburb gets its name. The Worimi people are the traditional owners of the Port Stephens area. At the 2021 Australian census the population of Fullerton Cove was 745. Like Fern Bay, Fullerton Cove lies to the west of the Tasman Sea. Although the entire coastline is part of Stockton Beach there is no public access to the beach from Fullerton Cove. The only access in the suburb is via a private track, which is off-limits to the public, in a large sand mining development at the end of Coxs Lane. Fullerton, Louisiana
Fullerton is an unincorporated community in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, United States. Fullerton was once an industrial community (1907-1927), having developed around a large lumber mill. In 1986, the community and mill were added to the National Register of Historic Places as Fullerton Mill and Town because of their role in industry and in the development of housing for the mill workers. witfour photos and two maps/ref> Conflict of name In addition to its current name, the community was believed to have been known as "Russville" at a point. The official usage has been "Fullerton" since 1975, when the Board on Geographic Names ruled against the usage of "Russville." Fullerton Line
The Fullerton Line was an interurban route of the Pacific Electric Railway. It ran between Downtown Los Angeles and Fullerton, California. It opened in 1917 and saw freight service until the 1940s. History The line, among the electric railway's final expansions, was not originally intended for passenger service unless a connection to Orange was completed. Despite this, the route was opened for service in 1917. Pacific Electric spent $425,000 on the extension from La Habra to Fullerton ($ in adjusted for inflation). In 1935, PE reported losses on the line of $1,610 for travel in the previous year (). PE discontinued passenger service on the line on January 22, 1938. Landowners along the line petitioned for its closure in 1939, but freight traffic on the line continued until the late 1940s. Fullerton Dam
The Fullerton Dam is a ruined dam located northwest of Olustee, in Jackson County, Oklahoma. Farmer William J. Fullerton built the dam across Turkey Creek in the mid-1890s to irrigate the vegetable crops on his farm. As western Oklahoma was a dry region, farmers depended on a regular water supply to produce crops, making Fullerton's dam an important innovation. The dam was the first gravity flow dam built by a European settler in western Oklahoma, and Fullerton became a successful regional farmer due to his effective irrigation system. It is even more notable because Fullerton designed the system himself using a homemade transit, and the system was built using unskilled manual labor and mules. .
