''Full Bloom'' is the fourteenth studio album by American rock band 311, released on October 25, 2024. It is the first to be produced by Colin Brittain and the sixth to be produced by Scotch Ralston. Tim Pagnotta is also listed as a producer. It is the first 311 album since 2019's Voyager, which marks the longest gap between studio LPs in the band's career. The album was released through SKP, a company founded by lead singer Nick Hexum and his wife Nikki Hexum, which strives to help upcoming musicians publish their music without the takeaways of record labels. ''Full Bloom'' is the first ever album to be released through SKP. 311 (pronounced "three eleven") is an American Rock music, rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. The band was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Nick Hexum, lead guitarist Jim Watson, bassist Aaron "P-Nut" Wills, and drummer Chad Sexton. Watson was replaced by Tim Mahoney in 1990. In 1992, Doug "SA" Martinez joined as a second vocalist and turntablist. 311 has released fourteen studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, four EPs and four DVDs. After a series of independent releases, 311 was signed to Capricorn Records in 1992 and released the albums ''Music (311 album), Music'' (1993) and ''Grassroots (album), Grassroots'' (1994) to moderate success. The Hive (studio)
The Hive is a recording studio in North Hollywood, Los Angeles at 5500 Cahuenga Blvd, it is owned and run by the members of the alternative rock band 311. History In 2000, after finishing touring for '' Soundsystem'', the five members of 311 grew distraught with having to pay upwards of $2,000 a day in professional recording studios. Seeking a more independent-style place to work, they found a place in North Hollywood where they could record and pay rent of $3,000 a month. The band soon loaded in two 24 track analog tape machines and Pro Tools technology, fully furnished the place, and began working on their next album. In 2022, the band listed the studio for sale on LoopNet, due to it becoming stale, but delisted it in 2023, just in time to write and record for 2024's Full Bloom. Colin Brittain
Colin Cunningham (born December 29, 1986), known professionally as Colin "Doc" Brittain, is an American songwriter, producer, and musician signed to Warner Chappell Music. In September 2024, he joined Linkin Park and has been the band's new drummer since their reunion following the departure of the band's previous drummer Rob Bourdon. Prior to joining Linkin Park, he wrote and produced for acts such as Papa Roach, 311 (band), 311, A Day to Remember, Foundry (band), Foundry, Dashboard Confessional, 5 Seconds of Summer, From Ashes to New, and One Ok Rock. Career Brittain began his career playing drums in the band Oh No Fiasco, starting in 2011. Sugarcult was an American rock band from Santa Barbara, California, formed in 1998. The band consisted of Tim Pagnotta (vocals, rhythm guitar), Airin Older (bass), Marko DeSantis (lead guitar), and Kenny Livingston (drums). History Formation (1998-99) Tim Pagnotta met ex-drummer Ben Davis during a cigarette break at school. Davis (who then played bass) and Pagnotta started to play together on a regular basis. Pagnotta met Airin Older in a music class where Pagnotta was copying Older's work. They became good friends and Pagnotta invited Older to join his band. Davis moved to the position of drummer and Older filled in for Davis on bass. Marko DeSantis was added into the band after meeting Pagnotta backstage at a Superdrag concert. Nicholas Lofton Hexum (born April 12, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter and rapper, currently the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the multi-platinum alternative rock band 311 and The Nick Hexum Quintet. Early life Born in Madison, Wisconsin, to father Dr. Terry Hexum, a professor of pharmacology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and cardiovascular and neuroscience researcher, and mother Pat, Hexum went to Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. School led Hexum to music programs, such as Westside Jazz Band, where he met Chad Sexton. Hexum views his first rock 'n' roll performance as a junior high talent show under the name The Clash.
