Fujimorist propaganda encompasses the political and media strategies employed to shape public opinion in Peru during and after the presidency of Alberto Fujimori. ''Chicha Press'' (''Prensa Chicha'' in Spanish) is a Peruvian nickname for sensationalist tabloid newspapers that first emerged in the 1980s. The etymology of ''Chicha Press'' is derived from the name for certain drinks made from corn, which later came to be used by some in Peru describe the culture of Andean migrants to the capital region of Lima during the 1960s. Indigenous Peoples Of Peru
The Indigenous peoples of Peru or Indigenous Peruvians comprise a large number of ethnic groups who inhabit territory in present-day Peru. Indigenous cultures developed here for thousands of years before the arrival of the Spanish in 1532. In 2017, 5,972,606 Peruvians identified themselves as indigenous peoples and formed about 25.75% of the total population of Peru. At the time of the Spanish arrival, the indigenous peoples of the rain forest of the Amazon basin to the east of the Andes were mostly semi-nomadic tribes; they subsisted on hunting, fishing, gathering and slash and burn agriculture. Genocide
Genocide is violence that targets individuals because of their membership of a group and aims at the destruction of a people.
