Fujifilm X30
The Fujifilm X30 is an advanced digital compact camera announced by Fujifilm on August 26, 2014. It succeeds the Fujifilm X20 whose 12 megapixel X-Trans CMOS sensor it shares. The X30 abolishes the tunnel optical viewfinder of the X20 and offers an electronic viewfinder instead. In terms of more advanced compact cameras, it occupies the middle ground between the Canon PowerShot G16 and Nikon Coolpix P7800 on the one hand, and Sony RX100 series and Canon PowerShot G1 X series on the other. In terms of Fujifilm's own product line, it was positioned as a more compact and affordable model than the Fujifilm X100S, which has a larger APS-C sized sensor that records 16 megapixels. Fujifilm X-Trans Sensor
The Fujifilm X-Trans is a sensor with a colour filter array arrangement developed by Fujifilm and used in its Fujifilm X series cameras. Unlike most sensors featuring a conventional Bayer filter array, X-Trans sensors have a unique 6 by 6 pattern of photosites. Fujifilm claims that this layout can minimise moiré effects, and in turn increase resolution by eliminating the need for a low-pass filter. Details Typical Bayer sensor arrays have RGB photosites in a repeated 2 by 2 pattern. When it overlaps with a regular pattern that is being captured, a new interference pattern can occur that does not exist in real life. Fujifilm X20
The Fujifilm X20 is a digital compact camera announced by Fujifilm on January 7, 2013. It is the successor to the Fujifilm X10, with which it shares its lens. However, instead of an EXR colour filter pattern as in the X10, the X20 uses an X-Trans pattern on its sensor. Another advance is that the new sensor supports phase detection autofocus. Concurrently, the image processor was upgraded to version II. The viewfinder no longer is a simple tunnel viewfinder, but includes an information overlay with focus confirmation and exposure data indicated. Another new focusing feature not available in the X10 is focus peaking on the rear display. The X20 can record video at 1080p (FullHD) resolution at 60 frames per second, twice the framerate of its predecessor. A hybrid autofocus system refocuses automatically during video capture. The Nikon Coolpix P7800 is a digital compact camera announced by Nikon on September 5, 2013. It bases on the Nikon Coolpix P7700, i.e. same lens system, flash socket and the same functionality regarding to the excellent operating modes and connectivity: mini-HDMI, USB-2, PAL/NTSC, remote sensor, external flash and for GPS-devices, among them Nikon GP1 and Dawn di-GPS line. The Fujifilm X100 is a series of digital compact cameras with a fixed prime lens. Originally part of the FinePix line, then becoming a member of the X series from Fujifilm, the X100 series includes the FinePix X100, X100S, X100T, X100F, X100V, and X100VI. They each have a large image sensor and a 23 mm lens (35 mm equivalent angle of view in full frame format). All six cameras have received generally positive reviews.
