Frontline (American TV Program)
''Frontline'' (stylized as FRONTLINE) is an investigative documentary program distributed by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States. Episodes are produced at WGBH in Boston, Massachusetts. The series has covered a variety of domestic and international issues, including terrorism, elections, environmental disasters, and other sociopolitical issues. Since its debut in 1983, ''Frontline'' has aired in the U.S. for 39 seasons, and has won critical acclaim and awards in broadcast journalism. It has produced over 750 documentaries from both in-house and independent filmmakers, 200 of which are available online. Format The program debuted in 1983, with NBC anchorwoman Jessica Savitch as the show's first host, but Savitch died later after the first-season finale. ''Frontline'' is an Australian comedy television series which satirised Australian television current affairs programmes and reporting. It ran for three series of 13 half-hour episodes and was broadcast on ABC1 in 1994, 1995 and 1997. Production The series was written, directed and produced by Jane Kennedy, Santo Cilauro, Rob Sitch and Tom Gleisner. They created and performed in the television shows '' The D-Generation'' and '' The Late Show'' before creating ''Frontline'' (as well as '' Funky Squad'' between series 1 and 2 of ''Frontline''). ''Frontline Pilipinas'' () is a Philippine television newscast broadcast by TV5, Originally anchored by Raffy Tulfo and Cheryl Cosim, the program premiered on October 5, 2020, succeeding ''Aksyon''. It is also simulcast on One News, One PH, Radyo5 92.3 News FM, and online via livestreaming on Facebook, YouTube, and News5's official website. The Frontline (Irish TV Programme)
''The Frontline'' is a topical debate television programme in Ireland, which aired for 60 minutes every Monday night on RTÉ One at 22:30. It debuted on Monday, 21 September 2009. ''The Frontline'' replaced a similar political analysis show '' Questions and Answers''. The programme features around an invited audience and featured guests. Many public figures politicians have appeared on the programme. Some incidents on the programme have attracted a large amount of media coverage. The programme has generally received positive reviews. The programme is broadcast from Studio 4 in RTÉ. The first programme received an audience share of 43.4%, with a viewing audience of 464,000. ''Frontlines: Fuel of War'' is a first-person shooter game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. It was released February 25, 2008 in North America. It was produced by the now-defunct Kaos Studios. ''Frontlines: Fuel of War'' was also originally in development for the PlayStation 3, although THQ announced it had canceled work on this version on January 24, 2008, seemingly as a result of problems with developing for the PlayStation 3, issues that had been referenced in interviews prior to the PlayStation 3 version's cancellation. ''Frontlines'' includes a multiplayer mode as well as a single-player campaign that uses the Frontlines system found in the multiplayer component. Frontline Records
Frontline Records was a Christian rock record label, founded in 1986 by James Kempner in Santa Ana, California. The label focused primarily on modern rock, rap, dance-pop and hip-hop. The label closed in the early 1990s, and then resurfaced in 2010 to digitally re-release its music catalog (including related labels). Beginnings and history Kempner had a background in concert promotion, and had run the New Year's Eve Christian music festival series at Knott's Berry Farm, growing the event to one of the largest Christian events in the country before forming Frontline. The label officially began by signing local bands from the Orange County, California area. In that first year, Frontline released sixteen albums. Frontline are a New Zealand hip hop music group formed in 2001. History Frontline is a two-man hip hop team: Samoan-European MC David Dallas (also known as Con Psy) and producer and DJ Nick Maclaren DJ 41:30. Con Psy won the 2003 Auckland MC Battle for Supremacy, and 41 has won the 2000 Auckland ITF Championships. After meeting in 2001 in Auckland, the pair formed some tracks together and released a mixtape, ''What You Expect?''. During this time Maclaren produced tracks for artists including the Deceptikonz and Mareko, while Dallas completed a BSc in computing. Without any formal broadcasting or distribution, the mixtape sold over 1000 copies. The duo hooked up with premier New Zealand DJ P Money (also known as Peter Wadams). He signed Frontline to his co-owned record label, Dirty Records. ''Frontline Combat'' is an anthology war comic book written and edited by Harvey Kurtzman and published bi-monthly by EC Comics. The first issue was cover dated July/August, 1951. It ran for 15 issues over three years, and ended with the January, 1954 issue. Publication was discontinued following a decline in sales attributed to the end of the Korean War. The title was a companion to Kurtzman's comic book '' Two-Fisted Tales''. Both titles depicted the horrors of war realistically and in great detail, exposing what Kurtzman saw as the truth about war without glamorizing or idealizing it. ''Frontline'' is an independent journal produced in support of the Scottish Socialist Party. It aims to look at all aspects of politics, society and culture in Scotland and internationally. It was first produced in March 2001 as the theoretical journal of the International Socialist Movement, a platform of the SSP, however following the disbanding of the ISM in early 2006, it is currently published by a steering group composed of former members. In March 2008 a decision was taken by the editorial board to relaunch the magazine as an independent journal, although it remains sympathetic to and supportive of the Scottish Socialist Party.
