Hassan Khel Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Peshawar District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. This subdivision borders Nowshera District to the east and Kohat Subdivision to the south. The main settlement in Peshawar division is Kalakhel. Prior to 2018, this administrative subdivision was known as Peshawar Subdivision, and formerly also known as Frontier Region Peshawar was a subdivision of Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. 2017 Census Of Pakistan
The 2017 Census of Pakistan was a detailed enumeration of the Pakistani population which began on 15 March 2017 and ended on 25 May 2017. It was the first census taken in the country in the 21st century, nineteen years after the previous one in 1998, and it was carried out by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The census recorded a total population throughout the country of 213,222,917. The results showed a massive population increase having occurred between 1998 and 2017 of 77.0 million people, or an increase of +56.5%. The results also marked a significantly higher result compared to estimations made of the Pakistani population before the census, which had previously estimated the Pakistani population in 2017 to be between 195 million and 200 million. Nowshera District (, ) is a district in the Peshawar Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The capital and district headquarter is Nowshera city. Kohat Subdivision
Dara Adam Khel Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Kohat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. This subdivision shares its boundary with Peshawar District to the north, Nowshera District to the east and Orakzai District to the west. The population in 1998 was persons, 98.6% of whom had Pashto as their first language. The main towns in Kohat subdivision is Darra Adam Khel and Jawaki Adam Khel. Prior to 2018, this administrative subdivision was known as Kohat Subdivision, and formerly also known as Frontier Region Kohat. Federally Administered Tribal Areas
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas, commonly known as FATA, was a semi-autonomous tribal region in north-western Pakistan that existed from 1947 until being merged with the neighbouring province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 through the Twenty-fifth amendment to the constitution of Pakistan. It consisted of seven tribal agencies (districts) and six frontier regions, and were directly governed by the federal government through a special set of laws called the Frontier Crimes Regulations. On 24 May 2018, the National Assembly of Pakistan voted in favour of an amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan for the FATA-KP merger which was approved by the Senate the following day. The Census in Pakistan is a legally decennial census and a descriptive count of Pakistan's population on Census Day, and of their dwellings, conducted and supervised by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The most recent census was the 2023 Pakistani census. Overview A national census is mandated by the Constitution of Pakistan to be held every ten years. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) () is a federal agency under the Government of Pakistan. It is an attached department of the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. It works for collecting statistics in the country. History In 1947, the ''Central Statistical Office'' (CSO) was set up by the government of Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan. In 1950, CSO became an attached department of the Economic Affairs Division. In 1972, on the recommendation of IBRD Mission, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto upgraded the Central Statistical Office to a full-fledged government division.
