Frontier Region Bannu
Wazir Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Bannu District, Bannu Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. The total population, according to the 1998 census, was , 98.1% of which have Pashto as a first language, and the remaining 1.9% speak Punjabi. Geography This subdivision borders Karak District and Hangu District to the north, North Waziristan to the west, and Bettani Tehsil (formerly Lakki Marwat Subdivision) to the south. History Prior to 2018, this administrative subdivision was known as Bannu Subdivision, and formerly also known as Frontier Region Bannu (FR Bannu), as a subdivision in Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. The region was named after Bannu District, which lied to the east. With the dissolution of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and its incorporation into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Frontier Region Bannu was reorganizd as Gumatti Tehsil within Bannu District. Bannu District
Bannu District (, ) is a district in the Bannu Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Its status as a district was formally recorded in 1861 during the British Raj. This district constitutes one of the 26 districts that collectively form the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It borders North Waziristan to the northwest, Karak to the northeast, Lakki Marwat and Bettani to the southeast, and South Waziristan to the southwest. It is represented in the provincial assembly by four MPAs. Cloth weaving, sugar mills and the manufacturing of cotton fabrics, machinery and equipment are the major industries in Bannu. It is also known for its weekly ''Jumma'' fair. The district forms a basin drained by the Kurram and Gambila (or Tochi) rivers, which originate in the hills of Waziristan. Pashto
Pashto ( , ; , ) is an eastern Iranian language in the Indo-European language family, natively spoken in northwestern Pakistan and southern and eastern Afghanistan. It has official status in Afghanistan and the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is known in historical Persian literature as Afghani (). Karak District
Karak District (, ) is a district in Kohat Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is situated to the south of Kohat District and on the north side of Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts on the main Indus Highway between Peshawar and Karachi – it is 131 km from the provincial capital Peshawar. It gained a district status in 1982, prior to which it was part of Kohat District. It is natively inhabited by the Khattak Pashtun tribe who make the majority of the population. Hangu District, Pakistan
Hangu District (', ) is a district within the Kohat Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. It is located close to the border with Khost Province, Afghanistan. The district takes its name from the town of Hangu, which is its administrative centre. The name Hangu may also sometimes be applied to the Miranzai Valley which is partly within the district, bordering the Samana Range. History From 1540 to 1893, Hangu was ruled by two prominent figures: the Malak Khails and the Khans of Hangu. The Malak Khails were centrally located in the Darsamand and Mammu regions. North Waziristan

Bettani Tehsil
Bettani Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Lakki Marwat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. This subdivision shares its boundary on the north with Bannu Subdivision, on the west with Jandola Tehsil (Formerly Tank Frontier Region), to the west with North and South Waziristan and to the northeast with the district of Lakki Marwat. Its total area is 132 square kilometers. Prior to 2018, this administrative subdivision was known as Lakki Marwat Subdivision, and formerly also known as Frontier Region Lakki Marwat. The region was named after Lakki Marwat District which lied to the northeast. Federally Administered Tribal Areas
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas, commonly known as FATA, was a semi-autonomous tribal region in north-western Pakistan that existed from 1947 until being merged with the neighbouring province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 through the Twenty-fifth amendment to the constitution of Pakistan. It consisted of seven tribal agencies (districts) and six frontier regions, and were directly governed by the federal government through a special set of laws called the Frontier Crimes Regulations. On 24 May 2018, the National Assembly of Pakistan voted in favour of an amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan for the FATA-KP merger which was approved by the Senate the following day.
