''From Nashville to You'' is the eighth studio album by American singer La Toya Jackson. The album, which has also been released as ''My Country Collection'' and ''Little Misunderstood'', features country western music. Background and production In Spring 1994 it was reported in various newspapers that Jackson was preparing an album of country music. Tommy Martin was recruited as producer of the album by Jackson's ex-husband and manager Jack Gordon. Gordon described Jackson as "the new country-western heart throb." Gordon also described the album as "very up, very country, very Garth Brooks-like." Recording sessions for the album took place from March 20–27, 1994 at Creative Recording Studios in Nashville. David Paul Briggs (born March 16, 1943 in Killen, Alabama, United States) is an American keyboardist, record producer, arranger, composer, and studio owner. Briggs is one of an elite core of Nashville studio musicians known as "the Nashville Cats" and has been featured in a major exhibition by the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. Dennis Linde (pronounced LIN-dy, March 18, 1943December 22, 2006) was an American music songwriter based in Nashville who has had over 250 of his songs recorded. He is best known for writing the 1972 Elvis Presley hit, " Burning Love". Rarely working with co-writers, he wrote both words and music for most of his songs. In 1994, Linde won BMI's "Top Writer Award" and received four awards as BMI's most-performed titles for that year.
