Frogmore Community College
Frogmore Community College is a state secondary school based in Yateley, Hampshire, England drawing attendees from Yateley, nearby Blackwater, Darby Green, Sandhurst and Eversley. History Formerly Frogmore Comprehensive School, then Frogmore Community School, it also used to include a Sixth Form College originally called the Blackwater Valley Centre (BVC) which was fully absorbed when the school took its present name at the end of the 1990s. The school re-branded the sixth form as "FCAS" (Frogmore Centre for Advanced Studies) in 2005, but disbanded after only two years, forcing a partnership with The Sixth Form College, Farnborough. The college still runs adult learning through the University of the Third Age. It at first co-operated with Yateley School but gradually expanded in the 1980s. Frogmore is an estate within the Home Park, adjoining Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, England. It comprises , of primarily private gardens managed by the Crown Estate. It is the location of Frogmore House, a royal retreat, and Frogmore Cottage. The name derives from the preponderance of frogs which have always lived in this low-lying and marshy area near the River Thames. This area is part of the local flood plain. In the gardens of the estate are burial places for members of the British royal family – the Royal Mausoleum containing the tomb of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the Royal Burial Ground, and the Duchess of Kent's Mausoleum (the burial place of Queen Victoria's mother). Sandhurst is a town and civil parish in the Bracknell Forest borough in Berkshire, England. It is in the south eastern corner of Berkshire, and is situated west-southwest of central London, north west of Camberley and south of Bracknell. Sandhurst is known worldwide as the location of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (often referred to simply as "Sandhurst", "The Academy" or "The RMA"). Hartley Wintney is a large village and civil parish in the Hart district of Hampshire, England. It lies about northwest of Fleet and east of Basingstoke. The parish includes the smaller contiguous village of Phoenix Green as well as the hamlets of Dipley, Elvetham, Hartfordbridge, and West Green. Yateley School
Yateley School is the largest secondary school in North East Hampshire. The school teaches over 1500 students aged 11 – 16, and the attached sixth form college caters for ages 16–18. The school had its latest Ofsted Report in 2018, where the school achieved a good rating, and the Sixth Form College achieved an outstanding rating. Yateley School consists of four houses named after significant British people: (Charles) Darwin, (Emmeline) Pankhurst, (Florence) Nightingale and (William) Wilberforce. Eversley
Eversley is a village and civil parish in the Hart district of Hampshire, England. The village is located around northeast of Basingstoke and around west of Yateley. The River Blackwater, and the border with Berkshire, form the northern boundary of the parish. Character Eversley means "Wild Boar Clearing" and the boar is the symbol of the village, as shown on the village sign. The parish contains a number of hamlets: Eversley Village (sometimes called Eversley Street), Eversley Centre, Eversley Cross, Lower Common and Up Green. The historical parish also included Bramshill, a modern civil parish largely covered by plantation forest, but also including the early 17th century Bramshill House. Darby Green
Darby Green is a village in the parish of Yateley, North East Hampshire, England. The electoral ward of Frogmore and Darby Green is separated from the rest of the parish by a small gap around Clarks Farm, until recently a composting farm in the mushroom producing industry. The ward has a boundary shared with Blackwater, which is one part of the Civil Parish of Hawley. Parson Darby was a local vicar and a highwayman; he was supposedly hung at the junction of the B3272 and Darby Green Road. The historian Sidney Loader was a resident of Yateley and lived near this spot. There used to be a tin church at the corner of the B3272 named for St Barnabas. This burned down in the 1980s and was replaced by a new St Barnabas in Bell Lane, close to Frogmore Green.
