Friðrik Ingi Rúnarsson
Friðrik Ingi Rúnarsson is an Icelandic basketball coach and former player. As a coach, he has won three Icelandic men's championships and has guided his team to the Icelandic national finals a record seven times. Friðrik was the general manager of the Icelandic Basketball Association from 2006 to 2014 and coached the Icelandic men's national basketball team from 1999 to 2003. Playing career Friðrik averaged 5.4 points over eight seasons in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild with his best season coming in 1988-1989 when he averaged 12.9 points for Njarðvík. Coaching career In 1990, at the age of 22, Friðrik was hired as the head coach of Njarðvík. He led the club to the national championship during his first season at the helm, beating arch-rivals Keflavík in the Úrvalsdeild finals. In February 2017, he was hired as the head coach of Keflavík. Njarðvík Men's Basketball
Njarðvík () is a town in southwestern Iceland, on the peninsula of Reykjanes. As of 2009, its population was 4,400. History In 1995 it merged with the town of Keflavík and the village of Hafnir to form the new municipality of Reykjanesbær. Grindavík () is a fishing town in the Southern Peninsula district of Iceland, not far from Þorbjörn, a tuya (a type of flat-topped, steep-sided volcano). ''Morgunblaðið'' (, ''The Morning Paper'') is an Icelandic daily newspaper. ''Morgunblaðið''s website, mbl.is, is the most popular website in Iceland. It is currently the country's only daily printed newspaper and the newspaper of record. History ''Morgunblaðið'' was founded by Vilhjálmur Finsen and Ólafur Björnsson, brother of Iceland's first president, Sveinn Björnsson.
