Friulian Autonomist Movement
The Friulian Autonomist Movement (''Movimento Autonomista Friulano'', MAF) was a regionalist political party active in Friuli, Italy. History The party was founded in 2008 by a promoting committee made up of 9 people, including engineer Valeria Grillo, who became leader of the party. In the 2013 Udine provincial election the MAF supported Pietro Fontanini ( Northern League) for president and won 2.1% of the vote, which was crucial for Fontanini's re-election in the first round. In the regional election of the same year, Valeria Grillo was a candidate into the Responsible Autonomy list. Regionalism is a political ideology that seeks to increase the political power, influence, and/or self-determination of the people of one or more subnational regions. It focuses on the "development of a political or social system based on one or more" regions and/or the national, normative or economic interests of a specific region, group of regions or another subnational entity, gaining strength from or aiming to strengthen the "consciousness of and loyalty to a distinct region with a homogeneous population", similarly to nationalism. Pietro Fontanini (born 23 September 1952) is an Italian politician from the Lega Nord, current Mayor of Udine and former President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Biography Graduated in Sociology, Fontanini joined the Lega Nord after having spent a few years in the Italian Communist Party in Friuli. Once elected to the regional council of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Fontanini is appointed President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia for the first five months of the legislature. He left his seat in the regional council in order to run for the Senate at the 1994 general election, resulting in his election. He is later elected to the Chamber of Deputies at the 1996 and the 2001 general election. Lega Friuli-Venezia Giulia ( en, Friuli-Venezia Giulia League), whose complete name is ( en, Friuli-Venezia Giulia League for Salvini Premier), is a regionalist political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. 2013 Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Election
The 2013 Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional election took place on 21–22 April 2013 in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Debora Serracchiani, Socialist MEP and regional leader of the Democratic Party (PD), narrowly defeated incumbent Renzo Tondo of The People of Freedom (PdL) 39.4% to 39.0%; Saverio Galluccio of the Five Star Movement (M5S) came third with 19.2% of the vote. Serracchiani was the second woman to hold the office of President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, after Alessandra Guerra of the Northern League (LN) in 1994–1995. The turnout was a record low as a mere 50.5% of eligible voters turned out to vote. Responsible Autonomy
Responsible Autonomy ( it, Autonomia Responsabile, AR) is a centrist to centre-right political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. The party was launched as a "civic list" in support of Renzo Tondo, incumbent President of The People of Freedom in the 2013 regional election. In the event, Tondo was defeated by Debora Serracchiani of the Democratic Party, but AR obtained 10.7% of the vote and four councillors. Others joined later on. During 2014 AR was organised into a party, under the leadership of president Bruno Tellia, a university professor, and secretary Vanni Lenna, a former member of the Chamber of Deputies. Also, the party was officially joined by Tondo, who became floor leader, replacing Roberto Dipiazza. The last universal common ancestor (LUCA) is the most recent population from which all organisms now living on Earth share common descent—the most recent common ancestor of all current life on Earth.
