Fritz Schmid (singer)
Fritz Schmid (born 18 June 1972 in Linz) is an Austrian musical singer (as tenor) who has been working in Germany and Austria since 1997. Life Fritz Schmid grew up as the youngest of three siblings in Linz, Austria. Already as a youth he performed worldwide with the Bachl choir. He had his first stage experiences at the BRG Hamerling as Greaseball in '' Starlight Express'' in 1989. Schmid studied technical physics and mathematics at the University of Linz after his matriculation in 1990, and he took part in '' Les Miserables'' as “Marius” in the same year. In 1994, the Austrian decided to go on a musical career and graduated in acting and singing at the prestigious Conservatory of the City of Vienna. Linz ( , ; cs, Linec) is the capital of Upper Austria and third-largest city in Austria. In the north of the country, it is on the Danube south of the Czech border. Harry Kupfer
Harry Alfred Robert Kupfer (12 August 1935 – 30 December 2019) was a German opera director and academic. A long-time director at the Komische Oper Berlin, he worked at major opera houses and at festivals internationally. Trained by Walter Felsenstein, he worked in the tradition of realistic directing. At the Bayreuth Festival, he staged Wagner's ''Der fliegende Holländer'' in 1978 and ''Der Ring des Nibelungen'' in 1988. At the Salzburg Festival, he directed the premiere of Penderecki's ''Die schwarze Maske'' in 1986 and ''Der Rosenkavalier'' by Richard Strauss in 2014.
