Frieren
is a Japanese manga series written by and illustrated by . It has been serialized in Shogakukan's manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Sunday'' since April 2020; its chapters have been collected in 14 volumes as of March 2025. Frieren (character)
is the title character and protagonist of the Japanese manga series '' Frieren: Beyond Journey's End'', created by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Frieren is a former member of a party of adventurers led by the hero Himmel, who defeated the Demon King and restored harmony to the world after a ten-year quest. Reuniting with her former party fifty years later, Frieren discovers that her companions have distinctly aged, and Himmel dies of old age after one last adventure to see a meteor shower. During the funeral, Frieren expressed guilt for not attempting to learn more about him. Evan Call (born June 29, 1988) is an American composer and arranger working in Japan. He has composed music for multiple anime series, such as '' Violet Evergarden'', ''Muv-Luv Alternative'' and '' Frieren: Beyond Journey's End''. Call is affiliated with the Japanese agency Miracle Bus and was previously a member of the musical group Elements Garden. Biography Call was born in California, U.S., on June 29, 1988. As a teenager, Call was diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and had to take a break from going to school. During that time, he learned to play bluegrass guitar from a local teacher.
