Frida Nåmo Rønning
Frida Nåmo Rønning (born 3 February 1997) is a Norway, Norwegian handball player who last played for Borussia Dortmund Handball. Handball career Frida Nåmo Rønning started playing handball at the age of six in her native town with Oppsal Håndball, Oppsal. A few days after her 16th birthday, she signed a contract with the women's team playing in Norway's top division of Oppsal IF. After Rønning suffered a cruciate ligament injury in August 2015, she had to stop playing for a time. Rønning later won a gold medal in 2017 with Oppsal's junior team. In the match playing for that gold medal against Sola HK she scored four goals. After another lengthy break from playing due to injury, she returned to Oppsal's top-flight squad for the 2018/19 season. In the summer of 2021, she joined Borussia Dortmund Handball. Oppsal Håndball
Oppsal Håndball is the women's handball team of the Norwegian multi-sports club Oppsal IF based in Oslo, Norway. After 10 consecutive seasons on the highest level in Norway, the team faced relegation after the 2021–22 season. The following season the team ended 3rd in 1. divisjon, which gave access to play-off matches against the 12th ranked team in REMA 1000-ligaen. This was possible due to restructuring of the series system. Oppsal won the best of three series against Volda Handball, and gained promotion to REMA 1000-ligaen for the upcoming season. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the 1872 Scotland v England football match, first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. 2015 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship
The 2015 European Women's U-19 Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the European Women's U-19 Handball Championship, held in Valencia, Spain from 23 July to 2 August 2015. Sixteen teams participated on the tournament, including the fifteen qualifying winners and the host nation. Sweden was the defending champions, but didn't reached the final, after getting defeated by Denmark in the semifinals. Denmark won the tournament, with a 29-26 win against Russia.
