The Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Dockers or colloquially Freo, is a professional Australian rules football club competing in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's elite competition. The team was founded in 1994 to represent the port city of Fremantle, a stronghold of Australian rules football in Western Australia. The Dockers were the second team from the state to be admitted to the competition, following the West Coast Eagles in 1987. Both Fremantle and the West Coast Eagles are owned by WA Football, with a board of directors operating Fremantle on WA Football's behalf. Peter Travis Mann (born 7 September 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer. who played a total of 118 matches in the AFL for the North Melbourne and Fremantle Football Clubs. Peter is currently residing in Perth. Kara Antonio ( Donnellan, born 27 February 1992) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Early life and amateur career Antonio spent her early years in Victoria. She played state league football with the St Abans Women's Football Club (now VU Western Spurs) through 2012. Donnellan moved to Perth prior to the 2013 season and began playing with Swan Districts in the West Australian Women's Football League. She is currently the captain of Swan Districts. In 2013, she was drafted by the Melbourne Football Club to play in the exhibition match representative side. She was selected fifth overall in the initial two-team draft. Hayley Miller
Hayley Miller (born 3 February 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Miller won the Fremantle fairest and best and leading goalkicker awards in season 6 and was named in the 2022 AFL Women's season 6 All-Australian team. She served as Fremantle captain from season 6 to 2023, and is Fremantle's games record holder with 80 games. Early career Miller was born in Perth, Western Australia. She started her football career in 2016, playing for the West Coast Eagles in the West Australian Women's Football League. She made the line-up for the inaugural women's Western Derby on April 9th 2016, against her future club the Fremantle Dockers.
