Fremantle College is an Independent Public secondary school in Beaconsfield, Western Australia, south-east of the port city of Fremantle, and south-west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. It opened in 2018 following the closure of South Fremantle Senior High School and Hamilton Senior High School due to low enrolment numbers. Beaconsfield is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. It was named after a property of the same name in the area in the 1880s; the name was officially adopted from the post office on 1 August 1894. Peter Collier (politician)
Peter Charles Collier (born 25 February 1959) is an Australian politician who has been a Liberal Party member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia since 2005, representing North Metropolitan Region. He served as a minister in the government of Colin Barnett from 2008 until its defeat at the 2017 election. Early life Collier was born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, to Beryl Lillian (née Davies) and Les Collier. South Fremantle Senior High School (SFSHS) is a former comprehensive public co-educational high day school, that was located in Beaconsfield, south-east of Fremantle in the south-western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The school operated from 1967 until its closure in 2017. Plans to close the school and merge students with Hamilton Senior High School to form Fremantle College were announced in December 2014.
