Frei.Wild (pronounced FRY-vilt, the word ''Frei'' translates to "free" and the word ''Wild'' translates to "wild") is a German rock band from Brixen, South Tyrol, Italy. Its members belong to the German-speaking population of South Tyrol and their songs are mostly in German. History The band was founded by Philipp Burger (vocals, guitar) and Jonas Notdurfter (guitar) in September 2001. Jochen Gargitter (bass) and Christian Fohrer (drums) joined the band shortly after. In the beginning the band tried to imitate other German-speaking bands like Böhse Onkelz and Rammstein. In 2002 their first album ''Eines Tages'' was released, followed by ''Wo die Sonne wieder lacht'' in 2003. Their third album ''Mensch oder Gott'' was released in 2004 and their fourth ''Mitten ins Herz'' after the band changed the label in 2006. Kraftklub
Kraftklub are a German band from Chemnitz. Their music combines rock / indie and Sprechgesang with German lyrics and is generally considered to be a mixture of rap and indie. History Founding and early years (2009–2011) The band members first met at school and founded the band at the end of 2009. At the Splash Festival 2009, rapper Bernd Bass (Felix Brummer) performed together with the rock band ''Neon Blocks'' for the first time. At the end of 2009, they founded the band Kraftklub and started recording their first studio album. On 13 February 2010, they released their first EP, titled ''Adonis Maximus'' at a record release party in the Chemnitz club Atomino. In September 2010, the band won the ''New Music Award'', a music prize awarded by various ARD radio stations. As a result, several major labels became aware of them. 2013 Echo Awards
The 22nd Annual Echo Awards were held on March 21, 2013, at the Palais am Berliner Funkturm in Berlin. The show was broadcast on Das Erste and was hosted for the first time by Schlager entertainer Helene Fischer. Nominations for all 27 award categories were announced on January 31, 2013. Die Toten Hosen won the most number of awards during the ceremony, with four, including the Echo for Song of the Year for "Tage wie diese" and Album of the Year for ''Ballast der Republik''. In addition, the band was awarded Best National Rock/Pop Group and Producers of the Year along with Vincent Sorg. Brixen
Brixen (; , ; or , ) is a town and communes of Italy, commune in South Tyrol, northern Italy, located about north of Bolzano. Geography Brixen is the third-largest city and oldest town in the province, with a population of nearly twenty-three thousand. It is located at the confluence of the Eisack and Rienz rivers, and today it is the capital of the Eisack district community. The Brenner Pass, on the Italian-Austrian border, is 45 km to the north of Brixen, and Bolzano lies 40 km to the south.
