Fredrik Ståhlberg
Major General Nils Fredrik Adam Ståhlberg (born 24 August 1966) is a Swedish Army officer. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Joint Operations from 1 January 2023. Prior to that, Ståhlberg served as commanding officer of the Western Military Region (2013–2017), as Chief of the Land Component Command (2017–2018), as Deputy Chief of Army (2017–2020), as Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Swedish Defence University from 2020 to 2022 and as Deputy Director of Human Resources in 2021. Early life Ståhlberg was born on 24 August 1966 in Skövde, Sweden. He grew up in Karlsborg and moved to Skövde in 1986 to do his military service as company commander in Skaraborg Regiment (P 4). Then he had no intention of becoming an officer but the plan was to study economics at the University of Gothenburg, but his platoon leader saw the potential and encouraged him to apply for officer training. Skövde () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and urban centre in Skövde Municipality and Västra Götaland County, in the Västergötland, Västergötland (Western Gothland region) in central southern Sweden. The Royal Swedish Army Staff College (, KHS) was a Swedish Army training establishment between 1866 and 1961, providing courses for army officers. It was the home of the Swedish Army's staff college, which provided advanced training for officers. It was located within the Stockholm Garrison in Stockholm, Sweden. Leni Björklund
Leni Christina Elisabeth Björklund (born 5 July 1944) is a Swedish Social Democratic politician. She served as Minister for Defence from 2002 to 2006. Leni Björklund grew up in Örebro. She graduated from Uppsala University with a B.A. As a local politician, Björklund was a Commissioner in the 1970s and 1980s, first in Järfälla Municipality north of Stockholm 1977–1979, and later in Stockholm County Council 1980–1989. She went on to work as Managing Director for the Planning and Rationalisation Institute for the Health and Social Services. When Prime Minister Göran Persson appointed her, on 21 October 2002, she was the secretary-general of the Church of Sweden, a position she had held since 1999. Joint Forces Command (, OPIL), was a senior command staff within the Swedish Armed Forces which operated from 2000 to 2005. The staff was located in Uppsala Garrison in Uppsala. The Joint Forces Command managed allocated joint capabilities from the three armed services. Skaraborg Brigade
The Skaraborg Brigade (), or the 4th Mechanized Brigade (MekB 4), is a Swedish Army mechanized brigade located in the county of Västra Götaland, active since 2022. It was previously active 1942–2000. The brigade is located at Skövde garrison with the Skaraborg Regiment. History The brigade was established in 1943 under the name of the 9th Armoured Brigade and was one of the very first Swedish army brigades. In the Defence Act of 1992, the government proposed that the wartime organization should reflect the peacetime organization. As a result, in 1994, the Skaraborg Brigade was cadre-organized within the Southern Military District but wartime-organized within the Western Army Division.
