Frederikke Thøgersen
Frederikke Skjødt Thøgersen (born 24 July 1995) is a Danish professional football player who plays as a midfielder for the Italian Serie A team Inter Milan and the Danish national team. Club career Thøgersen played six seasons with Fortuna Hjørring after moving from her hometown team Thisted FC in 2013. In total she won three league titles and two cups with Hjørring. In May 2019, Thøgersen signed a two-year contract with Serie A team Fiorentina, her first overseas club. International career Thøgersen has represented Denmark at multiple youth levels, winning a bronze medal at the 2012 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship. Thøgersen made her senior international debut for Denmark on 5 March 2014 in as a 74th minute substitute during a 2–0 defeat to Sweden at the Algarve Cup. The Danish Women's League ( da, Danmarksturneringens Kvindeliga, Kvinde-DM Liga or Kvindeligaen) is a semi-professional top-flight league for women's football in Denmark. It is organised by the Danish Football Association (DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i kvindefodbold (Kvinde-DM) and is placed as the first division of the Danish football league system. Clubs in the league must meet certain criteria concerning appropriate facilities and finances. All of the league's clubs qualify for the proper rounds of the DBU KvindePokalen. The top teams of each season qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League. The division has changed its name on several occasions. Elitedivisionen 2015-16 (or 3F-ligaen due to sponsorship reasons) was the 44th edition of Denmark women's football premier league. It is controlled by the DBU. It ran from 8 August 2015 to 18 June 2016. Format The eight teams play each other twice for a total of 14 matches per team. After that the top six teams play the championship round and the bottom two teams play the qualification round. In the championship round, each of the six teams play each other twice. Points accumulated at the regular season are halved and added the points from this round. The champion and runners-up qualify for the 2016–17 UEFA Women's Champions League. Vendsyssel Forenede Fodboldklubber is a professional football club based in Hjørring, Denmark. The team competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football. The 2014 Algarve Cup was the 21st edition of the Algarve Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Portugal. It took place between 5–12 March 2014.
