Fredericton South-Silverwood () is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. It was created when the Fredericton South district was split into two, creating this district and Fredericton-Lincoln. The remainder of the district was carved out of Fredericton West-Hanwell. It was first contested during the 2024 New Brunswick general election. York County (2021 population 105,261) is located in west-central New Brunswick, Canada. The county contains the provincial capital, Fredericton. Outside the city, farming and forestry are two major industries in the county, which is bisected by the Saint John River (New Brunswick), Saint John River. Formed in 2008, the party has been under the leadership of David Coon since 2012. The 2020 New Brunswick general election was held on September 14, 2020, to elect members of the 60th New Brunswick Legislature. The Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick, led by Blaine Higgs, won a majority government. The writs of election were issued by Lieutenant Governor Brenda Murphy on August 17, 2020, after a request was made by Premier Blaine Higgs to dissolve the legislature.
