Franz Schmidt, also Ferenc Schmidt (, 22 December 1874 – 11 February 1939) was an Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian composer, cellist and pianist.Franz Schmidt (1874–1939) and Dohnányi Ernö (1877–1960): A study in Austro-Hungarian Alternativ. Felix Dahn
Felix Ludwig Julius Dahn (9 February 1834 – 3 January 1912) was a German law professor and nationalist author, poet and historian. Biography Felix Ludwig Julius Dahn was born in Hamburg as the oldest son of Friedrich (1811–1889) and Constanze Dahn who were notable actors at the city's theatre. The family had both German and French roots. Dahn began his studies in law and philosophy in Munich (he had moved there with his parents in 1834), and graduated as Doctor of Laws in Berlin. After his habilitation treatise, Dahn became a lecturer of German Law in Munich in 1857. In 1863 he became senior lecturer/associate professor in Würzburg, received a professorship in Königsberg (in 1872). Dahn was married to the artist Sophie Fries (1835–1898), with whom he had a son. Fredegund
Fredegund or Fredegunda (Vulgar Latin, Latin: ''Fredegundis''; French language, French: ''Frédégonde''; died 8 December 597) was the queen consort of Chilperic I, the Merovingian Franks, Frankish king of Neustria. Fredegund served as regent during the minority of her son Chlothar II from 584 until 597. Fredegund has traditionally been given a rather poor reputation, foremost by the accounts of Gregory of Tours, who depicts her as ruthlessly murderous and sadistically cruel, and she is known for the many stories of her cruelty, particularly for her long feud with her sister-in-law queen Brunhilda of Austrasia. Queen Fredegund was born into a low-ranking family but gained power through her association with King Chilperic. Dunja Vejzović (; born 20 October 1943) is a Croatian operatic mezzo-soprano and soprano. Biography Dunja Crnković was born in Zagreb and was married in 1963, changing her surname to Vejzović. She studied at the Zagreb Academy of Music, where she sang The Witch in '' Hänsel und Gretel'' in 1968. Martin Egel
Martin Egel (born 17 January 1944) is a German bass-baritone in opera and concert, who made an international career. He appeared at the Bayreuth Festival from 1975 to 1986. He is also a speaker for television and recordings. Life Egel was born in Freiburg im Breisgau as the son of the contralto singer Marga Höffgen and the choral conductor Theodor Egel. He studied voice in Frankfurt and Basel and made his stage debut at the Theater Basel in Mozart's ''Le nozze di Figaro'' in 1973, and remained a member of the ensemble to 1980. At the Bayreuth Festival, Egel appeared from 1975 to 1986, including as Donner in the '' Jahrhundertring'' from 1977 to 1980. He was a guest at major opera houses in Germany and Europe. Ernst Märzendorfer
Ernst Märzendorfer (26 May 192116 September 2009) was an Austrian Conducting, conductor. Märzendorfer was born in Oberndorf bei Salzburg. He studied with Clemens Krauss at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Mozarteum in Salzburg, and was appointed as first conductor of the Graz Opera in 1945. He conducted at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires in the early 1950s. In 1954 he became a guest conductor at the Salzburg Festival. From 1953 to 1958, he was the principal conductor of the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, and led several tours with the orchestra, including a highly acclaimed American tour. He was appointed music director of the Salzburg Festival in Hellbrunn in 1976, where his highlights included twenty stage works by Jacques Offenbach. He was permanent conductor at the Vienna State Opera from 1961, and often appeared at the Berlin State Opera.
