Frede Schött
Frede Schött (born 28 December 1970) is a former Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider from Denmark. Speedway career Schött was a Individual Speedway Junior World Championship, World Under-21 finalist in 1989 and 1991. He first rode in the British leagues riding for Edinburgh Monarchs in 1990. He then rode in the List of United Kingdom speedway league champions, top tier of British Speedway from 1992 to 1996, riding for Belle Vue Aces. He was an integral part of the Belle Vue Aces team that won the league during the 1993 British League season. He later rode for Edinburgh Monarchs again from 2002 to 2004. Motorcycle Speedway
Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . Holsted Speedway Klub or Holsted Tigers is a motorcycle speedway club from Holsted in the Vejen Municipality of Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. 1993 British League Season
The 1993 British League season was the 59th season of the top tier of speedway in the United Kingdom and the 29th known as the British League. Summary Oxford Cheetahs dropped out of the first division resulting in their three time World Champion Hans Nielsen moving to Coventry Bees and Martin Dugard joining Eastbourne Eagles. Swindon Robins also dropped down to division 2 with their leading rider Leigh Adams going to the Arena Essex. Swindon's other leading riders also moved with Jimmy Nilsen switching to Bradford, Mitch Shirra to Ipswich and Kelly Moran retired. Belle Vue Aces won their first title since 1982. The Manchester team relied on a group of consistent riders, with no rider exceeding a 9-point average but five riders ranging from 8.75 to 6.72.
