Freddy Brooks
Freddy Brooks (born 10 August 1969) is a Cuban former volleyball player. He competed with the Cuba men's national volleyball team, Cuban men's national volleyball team at the 1992 Summer Olympics, 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. Brooks won a silver medal at the 1990 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, 1990 FIVB World Championship and a gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games with the Cuban team. Coaching In 2011, along with his wife Dina Lambrakis, Brooks founded the Kronos Volleyball Academy. In 2017, he became an assistant coach for P.A.O.K. V.C., PAOK Volley in Greece. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. Gymnasticos Syllogos Iraklis ( el, Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Ηρακλής, en, Gymnastics Club Heracles), commonly referred to as Iraklis, is a Greek multi-sports club based in Thessaloniki. The club was founded in 1908 as "Macedonikos Gymnasticos Syllogos" (''Macedonian Gymnastics Club'') and is one of the oldest and most historic sports-clubs in Greece. It is named after Heracles, the mythical Greek demigod. Their colours are blue or cyan and white, inspired by the Greek flag.
