Fred Popovici (born 27 July 1948) is a Romanian composer, writing mainly for orchestra. Popovici was born in Brăila Brăila (, also , ) is a city in Muntenia, eastern Romania, a port on the Danube and the capital of Brăila County. Brăila (, also , ) is a city in Muntenia, eastern Romania, a port on the Danube and the capital of Brăila County. The Sud-Est (development region), ''Sud-Est'' Regional Development Agency is located in Brăila. According to the 2021 Romanian census there were 154,686 people living within the city of Brăila, making it the List of cities and towns in Romania, 11th-most populous city in Romania and the List of cities and towns on the river Danube, 9th-largest of all cities on the river Danube. The National University of Music Bucharest (, UNMB) is a university-level school of music located in Bucharest, Romania. Established as a school of music in 1863 and reorganized as an academy in 1931, it has functioned as a public university since 2001.
